Food parcels distributed across London more than tripled since 2017

The total number of food parcels distributed across London have more than tripled in the last seven years, data produced by food bank charity, The Trussell Trust has revealed.

Barnet Council partner with cosmetics brand to tackle violence against women and girls

Barnet Council has partnered with cosmetics brand Barry M in a new campaign to tackle violence against women and girls (VAWG) aged 16-24.


Forming part of the council’s wider VAWG Action Plan for 2025 which addresses gender based violence in the borough, the campaign aims to communicate with young women about domestic abuse, signpost to victims where and how to find support, and identify and report abuse.

Wandsworth prepares to become London Borough of Culture

Activity has begun as Wandsworth prepares to enters an exciting year as the London Borough of Culture 2025, with events starting in April.

Brent Council's proposal to remove Lime bikes splits community

Brent Council has threatened to remove all Lime bikes from the borough by October 31 however some residents have spoken out against the plans.


The popular e-bike company and the council have been in partnership since 2019, but safety concerns arising from dangerously parked bikes blocking pavements and entrances have soured attitudes within the Brent community. 


If a ban was to go ahead, Brent Council would become the first London council to remove Lime.
